This lens is brilliant, it is sharp, and it delivers accurate colour, I have used it for shooting Windsurfing and Birds, planning to take it to the race track soon, autofocus is lightning fast on a A74, I promise you won't be disappointed with its performance. I am very impressed with this lens. I have previously owned the Canon 100-400 f5.6 version 1 (nice but average) and the heavier Canon 200-400 f4 (excellent but hard on the shoulder) this Sony 100-400 is beautifully sharp and responsive. I bought this lens as I was tired of seeing my husband's tack-sharp images and mine were too soft. Very Versatile
It has replaced the 70-200 as my favourite lens. Not too heavy, plenty of reach, lovely bokeh. I bought it for travelling, wildlife and sports. I had been keeping an eye on the price and when I saw it was on special I grabbed one. I am really enjoying learning to use it.
