I have been working with many Startech.com adapters and this is one of the most handy adapters for USB-C that I have found.
I like the simple adapter of this style as most people will only ever need one of these two video ports when using a USB-C enabled system.

If you're looking for a dongle to allow yourself to hook up to conference room projectors or tvs then this is perfect. Having both HDMI or VGA will mean you won't be stuck unable to present from a newer laptop that only has USB-C ports.

I liked everything about this adapter, from the minimalist packaging, to it's compact size (easy for taking on the road) and it's driver-less installation. I have been in the AV/IT Integration space for over 30 years.

Pocket-sized, so great on the go! Solid build, no drivers were needed with Windows or Macbook. No resolution issues, or hiccups that I've seen with lower-quality devices. Keep in mind that your computer will need to support DP-Alt mode for this to work!

Small and lightweight and easily fits in a laptop bag or pocket. This video adapter is capable of either HDMI or VGA output at incredible 4K resolution. Small, Simple to install and constructed well. I Installed this device on windows 10 plug and prey and it just worked. It travels well but I wish the cable could be removed to prevent damage while traveling. I like that it has the VGA port and HDMI. The resolution was adequate for my usage. All ...
