I never would have guess that StarTech would have a dual dock without cloning functionality - but that's what this is. It's a very fast dock but lacking a crucial feature!

This dock does not work for me on USB 3.1 Gen 2. Works fine Gen 1. Tried two differsnt system that both support Gen 2 USB. If I plug into this port the activity light constantly flashes but the drive is never recognized. Yes, I am using the supplied cable.

does not come with a usb 3.1 gen 2 cable both, the usb and power cable, are too short otherwise this unit is very easy to setup an use.

I bought one years ago and can't believe I am the first to review. It works flawlessly and I use it whenever I want to clone a drive. Can also boot from it if drive is converted (it seconds) with the free Haslo WinTo USB. Click Tools, and use first option to convert.
