I'm just going to compare it to barracuda bay and say while i love that set for scale and nostalgia..this is a better deal. A very versatile set. The main ship build is complete. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Lego Creator 31109 3 in 1 Pirate Ship set with 1260 pieces and it was a BEAST! We had an amazing time putting it together. Not a hard build, just takes a few hours. Gift for child who says: “ I love pirates and I love building ships and this one in particular. The pieces fit together well, the result looks great and instructions were easy to follow. The pirate ship was very interesting.But, This was very hard to build but I think it was worth it with the zip line and the Captain steering the boat. I have always liked my pirate ships and so when I first saw it was attracted to it ! I was a little put off by the plastic sails but I took a gamble.
