This set is puzzling, somewhere "in-between" everything. As others pointed out, there is a lot of detail missing, the dimensions don't really match with the original. Great looking racer and very reminiscent of the McLaren car, in a Technic fashion. Great manual as usual; appreciated that the parts were divided into 4 groups. The biggest problem with this model are the wheelcovers. Lego utilised existing parts rather than a correctly scaled new tyre and wheel. The revised sticker set for the wheels is still incorrect (Google sponsorhip).

On step 3-6 the direction in which you place the pieces is not very obvious and relatively obscured by the angle the model is Portrayed at in the instructions. I had been after this kit since it was released, after weeks of waiting it finally came back into stock and what a kit it is, well worth the wait.
It's taken quite a few hours to build, and the final product exceeded my expectations.

The general build quality of this kit is great overall. The one major letdown however was the number of stickers that are included/need to be applied to the various parts during the build. It was my first Lego Technic set but it was easy enough to understand, although I did make a mistake early on since the instructions involve a lot of rotating the car and pieces so it’s easy to overlook one instruction.
